Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

Need a quick appetizer to bring to your next BBQ? These jalapeño poppers are the perfect appetizer to bring. They are travel friendly and take about 10-15 minutes to cook!

Ingredients

12 jalapeños; halved lengthwise, with seeds & membranes removed
1 block softened cream cheese
1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese; shredded
1 package bacon; slices cut in half

Instructions

Remove cream cheese from fridge and let it res on counter to begin softening.
While the cream cheese is softening, start cutting the jalapeños and bacon in half. Once jalapeños are cut in half, give them a good rinse to ensure no seeds are left over. Pat dry with a paper towel.
In a medium sized mixing bowls/stand mixer, combine the cream cheese & shredded cheese. Either mix together by hand or on the lowest setting of your mixer to ensure everything is nicely combined.
Start filling each jalapeño half with the mixture, I use either a tablespoon or 1/2 tablespoon measuring spoon to ensure evenness.
Once they are all filled, wrap each 1/2 with a piece of bacon, if you need more continue wrapping until fully covered. Stick each one with a toothpick or two to ensure they don't come apart while cooking/transporting.
Place each popper on the grill and rotate every few minutes to ensure even cooking, they take about 10-15 minutes (depending on how hot your grill is).

If you are travelling anywhere, once you have finished wrapping, place them into a tupperware container with a lid. These are always such a hit whenever we make them, what's great about them is that you can easily prep these ahead of time and just throw them on the grill or grab from the fridge.
