Looking for a way to occupy the littles so you can get things done?! is shaving cream sensory bin activity is perfect for you! The super quick set-up

As long as you don’t mind a bit of a mess (you’re a mom, mess comes with the territory)…this activity is great for rainy days or even if you need a little bit of time to start dinner.
One of the best parts?? You most likely already have the items needed for this so it’s a great option when you run out of ideas and need something super quick.
What you’ll need:
- Small Plastic Bin – this is the main item that you’ll need and you’ll most likely have one laying around the house, if not, this 6 quart Sterilite Storage Bin is perfect! It’s not too small and not super large either. You’ll need two of these so you can set up a ‘washing station’.
- Shaving Cream – lots and lots of shaving cream. Now, depending on what you are putting in the bin you’ll need more to make sure the ‘treasure’ is all covered. Also, make sure it’s NOT the gel shaving cream. This has to be the good old-school foaming white stuff…you can get this Gillette Foamy pack of 12 from Amazon and just have it on hand for backup. Or you can just buy extra of whatever your husband uses (if he does).
- TREASURE – the treasure is basically anything to hide in the shaving cream for the littles to search for…it can be gold coins, animal figures (there is a TON on Amazon, check out all the options here.), or these rubber cars that are easy to grab.
What to Do:
This is super simple and should take less than 5 minutes to completely set up. If you’re making dinner, set them up at your table or island so you can watch them and talk to them/answer their questions. I like to try and make it a game and interact with Cam. He gets so excited when he finds one and wants to see my reaction as well.
All you need to do is grab the bins, shaving cream, and ‘treasure’. Place the treasure inside the bin and then completely cover it with the shaving cream. Then grab that 2nd bin and fill it with about an inch or two of water.
